“I think ALPA is a good Corporation because ALPA supports ceremonies, special events, and funerals. I like being on the Board because I like knowing how ALPA businesses work and to make sure that everything is going well.”

Mandy Noinba has been an ALPA Director since June 2019. Mandy took over her father's position on the Board, after his passing.  Prior to this, Mandy acted as proxy for her father who was on the ALPA Board for many years.

"I took his position. My father told me it would be good to help ALPA because ALPA helps the community. My family is connected to Minjilang. The old man named DJambo was a Traditional Owner for Minjilang and that old man helped my Dad raise me and the other children. My father said that as a family we have to support the community.

I think ALPA is a good Corporation because ALPA supports ceremonies, special events, and funerals. I like being on the Board because I like knowing how ALPA businesses work and to make sure that everything is going well.

I also have a job at the clinic as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner. I have worked there for more than 10 years. Before that, I worked at Ramingining clinic.".
